Niseko – home of the world’s greatest powder snow – has dominated the Japan category of the World Ski Awards… again.
Despite strong competition from Appi Kogen, Hakuba, Myoko Kogen, Rusutsu and more, Niseko secured the top spot as “Japan’s Best Ski Resort” once more.
With a clean sweep of winners, Niseko featured at the forefront of every category, taking Japan’s Best Ski Hotel 2016 (Hilton Niseko Village), Japan’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel 2016 (The Vale Niseko), and Japan’s Best Ski Chalet 2016 (Sekka Kan), in addition to the coveted “Best Ski Resort” in Japan.
Two Niseko favourites also took the crown in the prestigious world category, with The Vale Niseko taking World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel 2016, and our friends at Hokkaido Backcountry Club taking the World’s Best Heli-Ski Operator 2016.
